Last week Lauren and I decided on a whim to go berry picking at Smith Berry Barn. On this particular morning Lauren was having a hard time getting motivated to get out the door. This day happened to be a Thursday the day after Lauren's two full days at school. Thursday mornings are usually reserved for reacquainting herself with her toys, lounging in her jammies and bossing me around. I, on the other hand, am always eager to get going and do something. As a compromise, I let Lauren pick out her outfit. Yes, that is a tutu. In the end, she enjoyed berry picking but mostly the berry eating along the way! Lauren's favorite were the blueberries as she seemed to master grabbing a cluster of them at once and putting them in her bucket.
