"Going Running"

The other evening we had a funny conversation with Lauren.  Lauren was getting ready for bed and already had on her jammies when she decided to put on her jacket and boots.  After she put them on she informed us that she was leaving.  Here is our conversation:

Lauren: Lauren is leaving.
Mom/Dad: Lauren is leaving? Where is Lauren going?
Lauren: Um...Lauren is going running.
Mom/Dad: It's dark outside. And cold. Lauren is going running all by herself?
Lauren: Um... (long pause, as if truly considering this) Yes.

Out the door...
